no but seriously don’t talk to strangers on the internet because you will love them and want to hold them and pet their hair and have sleepovers with them and they will make you so happy but they live in uganda or something so you will never get to see them and you will ACHE.

“Pumped Up Kicks’ is about a kid that basically is losing his mind and is plotting revenge. He’s an outcast. I feel like the youth in our culture are becoming more and more isolated. It’s kind of an epidemic. Instead of writing about victims and some tragedy, I wanted to get into the killer’s mind, like Truman Capote did in In Cold Blood.”

joke gets over 100 notes in half an hour. its all the rage in the tumblr community
joke gets reblogged by popular blogs, gaining more and more notes while the original poster is forced to sit and watch their dashboard be swallowed by notes
somewhere between an hour or a day later, joke post is now offensive to someone on tumblr. this ignites an outrage among social justice bloggers and in turn casual bloggers who reblog and add notes like ‘lol how stupid can you get’ and ‘its a joke guys wow’ and then someone posts an essay on how dumb the joke is and now the joke is doomed to swirl around the internet for all eternity
a century later, a small team prepares to explore the virtual world their parents and grandparents lived in. they create a account on a site named tumblr, and go looking for popular posts. they find the joke post, and a moment of silence is shared between them all at how serious of a problem the human race had with humor
